I took Latin in high school for a year (and graduated in '69), and our Latin teacher was one helluva of a drill instructor. Foreign language was compulsory. Our choices: German, French, Spanish, and Latin. The year before I chose Latin, we had introductory courses in all four languages. I didn't like the other three. Latin was the easiest for me, and that's why I chose it. I wasn't interested in taking foreign language courses because I was just a rebellious punk-kid.

Three years of high school Latin here, as it was a "dead" language that you didn't need to speak. Sat directly behind Jim Plunkett one or two of those years, and still managed to see the blackboards.

Well ... semper ubi sub ubi.

That's what I remember from Latin.

Are you saying that carving's meaning, regarding Gerry and I each getting busted by GD for taping them (on separate occasions) - are you saying, we should "always wear underwear" and keep our tape recorders down our pants, inside our underwear?
